Business Aspects

Accounting:
Yes, accounting is like opening a file, incoming ledger, numerical file, alphabetic file, expense journal, income journal, and investigative file journals. This business has more paper work than the average, and it must be accomplished professionally. (School director has a degree in accounting).

Advertising:
A business card, by itself, will not likely get you a client; however, the unprofessional business card will eliminate many clients. A professional approach to advertising must be taken. One sleazy ad, card, or paper can eliminate, shorten or make the road to success long and rough. (Professionalism is the way)

Problem Areas:
Without professional training, the rookie may be out of business the first week. There are many pitfalls or stumbling blocks that can eliminate the beginner immediately. Billing the client fairly is difficult to do without knowledge or experience, and over-billing will end a career quickly. Then we have the expected: unethical assignments, criminal trespass, double billing, manufacturing evidence, etc. The new surveillance investigator can be guilty of harassment without knowing it. This causes the plaintiff attorney to laugh out loud all the way to the bank! ( This is why a two-million dollar liability/ errors and omissions policy is required ).

Employment Problems:
The Professional Investigator should know what is happening in the business world. To accomplish that goal this school uses speakers and professional recordings, employee assistance, management intervention, drug testing, sexual harassment, etc. Our graduates are well informed!

Investigative Opportunities:
This training will qualify and equip each graduate with sufficient knowledge to pursue a career in the corporate world as a professional investigator. The professional investigator’s status on the world labor market for the last ten years has been among the top ten. The professional investigator is one of the highest paid professions in America today (information from national reports). The Professional Investigator was third from the top, and the two above were both associated with the computer world.

Career Opportunities 101 --- Beginning any career for the wrong reason will seldom lead to success. The professional investigator who loves going to work each morning and works toward the goal of providing the best service possible, without the thought of getting rich, will make a lot of money!
